Your opportunity

We are looking for a Translation Project Manager to join our team. Your job will be to manage translation projects from beginning to end, quoting and formatting complex file formats (multiple URLs, InDesign projects, images with text, video and audio, etc.), setting up the project on a TMS, managing TMs and glossaries on CAT tools, recruiting and communicating with translators, negotiating rates and client specifications, onboarding clients and relaying relevant information about any potential issues, promoting client satisfaction post-delivery, designing translator validation protocols, and working with product team to automate repetitive manual processes.

Key skills

  • Advanced knowledge of editing software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut Pro…)
  • Knowledge of Computer Assisted Translation tools (translation memories, glossaries…)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow our processes and methodologies, while suggesting improvements
  • Proactive approach
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Analytical and structured problem solving
  • Advanced skills in English

Plus skills

  • Knowledge of basic website content management systems (especially WordPress)
  • Knowledge of html and css programming
  • Knowledge of automation software, such as Zappier or automate.io
  • Advanced knowledge of French, German or Chinese

The role

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze files using translation memory tools
  • Deliver high-quality projects on time, within budget and to client’s expectations
  • Post-edit documents of varying formats or enter translations into websites using a variety of technological solutions
  • Work with the Product team to solve technological problems related to document processing and post-editing (e.g. issues with OCR tools, poor end-document output, etc.)
  • Quote and invoice projects accurately
  • Maintain accurate project documentation
  • Attend to any concerns or comments from both translators and clients, as well as communicating any changes requested by the client to the translator
  • Monitor and control the status of projects
  • Understand and follow individual project instructions
  • Design and implement translator validation protocols in multiple language combinations and specialisations
