FAQ

Do I need to have self-employed status to work as an affiliate?

In Spain:

To carry out occasional collaborations it is not necessary to be registered as self-employed within the social security system (RETA). If collaboration occurs regularly with one or more companies, then it is necessary to register as a self-employed with the social security system.

The requirement of regularity is determined on the basis of the income received in annual calculation for the performance of the activity. If you anticipate that the annual figure you will receive for all your collaborations, with one or more companies, will be equal to or greater than 3000 €, you should consult a professional for advice regarding your particular case.

Other countries:

Check your country’s legislation to find out what conditions and limits are set.

Am I obliged to declare the income obtained from Berba?

Yes, if you live in Spain you must do so in compliance with Spanish tax regulations. In any case, Berba retains in the payment to each affiliate the percentage of income tax that it indicates in its receipt or invoice.
Consult your advisor in case your occasional collaboration as a freelance affiliate could turn into an economic activity.

When do I receive payment?

As your quotes get approved by clients, they will be added to the My Collections tab list.
We will send you all the confirmed quotes for the current month between the 1st and 10th of the following month (both included) as long as they have been approved during the first 20 days of the month. After this period, you would have to wait for the next month’s payment cycle.
